Pokémon the Movie White: Victini & Zekrom, select theaters Dec. 3rd & 4th!

During their travels through the Unova region, Ash and his friends Iris and Cilan arrive in Eindoak Town, built around a castle called the Sword of the Vale. The three Trainers have come to compete in the town’s annual battle competition, and Ash manages to win with some unexpected help from the Mythical Pokémon Victini! It turns out Victini has a special bond with this place…

Long ago, the castle watched over the Kingdom of the Vale, and the partnership between Victini and the king protected the people who lived there. But that kingdom has since vanished into memory, leaving behind powerful relics and ancient Pokémon. Damon, a descendant of the People of the Vale, is trying to restore the lost kingdom with the help of his Gothitelle. His quest has taken him to the far reaches of the frozen tundra, and he has convinced the Legendary Pokémon Zekrom to help him seek his ideals!

Damon plans to trap Victini and harness its power, and as that plan gets under way, the entire town of Eindoak faces disaster! Can Ash awaken the Legendary Pokémon Reshiram to help him stop Damon and save Victini? The greatest adventure in Pokémon history approaches!

Well this is the first time since 2003 that a Pokémon movie will air in theaters. So far it seems they are only showing the White movie, and not the Black movie which aired in Japan during the same release. No word on whether the Black movie will be released in theaters as well. The movie will be in select theaters in the US on Dec. 3rd & 4th. Now to see if I can gain the courage to go watch it…I’m 22 years old lol.

Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva headed to NA

VIZ Media has announced that PROFESSOR LAYTON AND THE ETERNAL DIVA will be released on November 8, 2011 in North America on Blu-ray and DVD.

Professor Layton, true English gentleman and the world’s greatest amateur super sleuth, embarks on his most daring adventure yet when he receives a letter from his old student, the famous opera diva Janice Quatlane. She is to perform at the legendary Crown Petone Opera House and invites him to attend as her special guest. Meanwhile, a spate of disappearances hits London. Two young school girls are the latest victims, and the Professor suspects it’s related to the mysterious occurrences at the theatre. The Professor and his loyal assistant Luke travel to the Opera House to solve their toughest puzzle yet, the mystery of Eternal Life!

I am so happy that the Professor Layton film is finally being released in North America! I never thought this would happen, but with Level-5 opening up their studio in California, the possibilities are expanding. We’ll finally see how the popular Layton series of games transfer to an anime setting. I’ll definitely be picking this film up on Blu-Ray.

RaNdOmNeSs: Pokemon In Classic Literature

Below is an article from G4TV… The article is about some books that were probably read in school and that are turned into a Pokemon form. Enjoy!

Your summer reading list just got longer with the addition of these amazing Pokemon books. Geekosystem has a collection of 15 classic books you were probably assigned in high school. All of you good students who read the Sparknotes saw a noticeable lack of Pokemon in these books. That wrong has been righted.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Rumor: PS4 coming out next year?

Sony's PS3

Sony might end up copying Nintendo and Microsoft next year with the PS4. DigiTimes is reporting that the PS4 will be released next year and will be sporting some Kinect-like features. While this is interesting, it doesn’t supprise me too much. It would probably be good on Sony’s part to enhance features on the PS4 (adding better motion control) and releasing it as soon as possible (next year, along side the Wii U). 2012 could become a very interesting year. Valve interested in Onlive, their games might appear on service

Far from spurning OnLive as a worrying threat to his Steam business, Valve boss Gabe Newell “really likes” the games-on-demand service. At least, that’s according to OnLive.

The Cloud gaming company has told CVG that it has engaged in “conversations” with Valve boss Gabe Newell about working more closely together, and that it considers the exec and his business as “friends”.

And that’s not all – Valve has even given the California-based start-up advice on what to include in the future feature set of its service.

“Gabe and his team really like what we’re doing,” said OnLive VP of Engineering Joe Bentley. “I can’t go into specifics of any conversations we’ve had but we have had conversations with everybody in the industry. They really dig OnLive. Gabe is a funny guy because he’s really not competitive – very similar to Randy [Pitchford]. He sees us a complementary in a lot of different ways.

“If you get to know Valve as a company, Steam was something that they just had to do because nobody else was handling a decent digital distribution model. Gabe and his team’s hearts are really in making games like Portal 2 and so forth. If you see where Portal 2 is, it’s on every other platform.

“If Gabe was so intent on Steam’s dominance he would make it exclusive on Steam, but that’s not what he is. He’s about making the best quality games out there.

“He’s really fascinated with our features and given us a lot of suggestions, they’ve got similar features coming out and we’ve chatted about really innovative ideas. I regard him and the company as friends. Sure we’re going to have other people doing similar things, but the industry is big enough. We’re only a 200 person start-up, we don’t need to own it all, there’s something for everybody.”

OnLive showed its service off on a range of mobile devices at E3 earlier this month, including iPad. Bentley showed CVG how the company’s controller will soon sync wirelessly with most popular tablets on the market. (See below for a video of OnLive CEO Steve Perlman demonstrating the tech in Los Angeles.)

Bentley told us: “For me, Steam can’t really take their game to that mobile level… Gabe [Newell] walks around with his iPad so he sees OnLive and maybe thinks about how he can get Portal out to the world to the mobile market without compromises.”

UK gamers can already sign up to OnLive ahead of its launch .

BT has the exclusive rights to bundle OnLive together with its broadband service offerings in the UK, although customers will also have the option to order directly from OnLive to run over any UK ISP.
