Rhythm Heaven Wii Trailer

Rhythm Heaven will be released for the Wii this year in Japan. This is the 3rd game in the series after the GBA & DS games. Even if this doesn’t get released outside of Japan, atleast I can still import it unlike 3DS games. Come on Nintendo bring it to the US!

New Traditional-style Kirby for Wii!!

Remember that Kirby game that appeared on Nintendo’s schedule for many years before it finally disappeared last year? Well it turns out, this is that Kirby game that was on the list. Epic Yarn was released last year, so I find it kind of odd that we are already gonna get another Kirby game this year. So far there are 2 Metroid, 2 Zelda, and now 2 Kirby games on the Wii. I am so excited, two Kirby games this year will be awesome! One on Wii & one on DS. Trailer below from Nintendo’s investor conference.

The process of game design is never easy. But it gets even more complicated when the needs of a global audience are considered, and development spans an ocean. The hit game DONKEY KONG COUNTRY Returns was created in tandem by Retro Studios in Texas and Nintendo’s development department in Kyoto. Nintendo’s Kensuke Tanabe, who specializes in such overseas collaborations, as well as Retro Studios’ Michael Kelbaugh and Bryan Walker, will jointly discuss how different minds on different continents can combine to create a title that has global appeal.

Wow the game sounds pretty cool, however I hope it looks better over time. Artistically this looks very different from anything Platinum Games made like Bayonetta or Vanquish. However, one of the chicks has assets that look like they were borrowed from Bayonetta.

It’s awesome to see that it hit iTunes, but I can’t see myself spending $30 to get the whole thing, that’s a bit much when I already spent $50 on the game itself…
